Description | Balochistan Agriculture College,
Quetta, was established in October, 1986 after realizing the immense need for
professionals in the field of agriculture.Since inception, it has produced
more than 1200 graduates in the various disciplines of Agriculture. The
annual intake in the college has been kept at a base minimal level of 200
students to ensure quality of education and research on high grounds. The
infra- structure of the college is well-established and enforced with
well-equipped laboratories, up-to-date library and well-trained, qualified
academic staff. As part of our commitment to a sustainable agricultural
future of Balochistan province, students of Balochistan Agriculture College
have access to modern research centers and academic facilities. The college
has collaboration with the Agriculture Research Institute and Arid Zone
Agriculture Research Institute, Quetta, for field research on deciduous
fruits and field crops. Through this exercise, students learn practical
aspects of the agricultural education and modern research methodologies.
Balochistan Agriculture College, Quetta, is administratively controlled by
the Secretary, Government of Balochistan, Agriculture & Co-operatives
Department and affiliated with the University of Balochistan for the award of
degrees of B. Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture & M. Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture. |
