pro- viding renal treatment

under one roof, without
any distinction of
cast, colour, creed or
financial status, with
the help of state-of-the-art technology and modern expertise.The
nephrology service at the institute started with four station dialysis units
in 1995 and since then nephrology service has grown exponentially. At present, the service is run by full time
nephrologists. It is supported by registrars and resident medical
officers. The fully established
state-of- the-art Hemodialysis department has been operating since July 1995.
The department is equipped with 36 dialysis stations running four shifts a
day. It has dedicated machines for
hepatitis C reactive, hepatitis B reactive and for negative patients. It has
more than 250 registered patients. Outpatient services provide consultation
where a nephrologist is available seven days a week. The department is backed by
state-of-the-art ICU, fully equipped with latest monitoring system, along
with ventilators to support both surgical and medical patients. |
